Kerinci Seblat National Park is the result of the union some Kerinci natural reserve areas such as: Inderapura Nature Reserve and Bukit Tapan, Rawasa Wildlife shoulder-Bukit Kayu Lakitan and Gedang Seblat dew. In the area of Kerinci Seblat National Park in general is growing at about 4000 species of flora from 63 families. In 1993, Biological Science Club (BScC) conducts research in the buffer zone and they found 115 types of vegetation ethnobotanical. These vegetation types can be used for medicinal purposes, cosmetics, food, anti-mosquito and household purposes, such as frequently used by local communities.
