Jambi State Museum was built in 1981 on the land area of 13,350 square meters, with an area of 4000 square meters. Museum building was completed and inaugurated on June 6, 1988. Collection of historical objects Jambi State Museum numbered about 2855 men. Besides the five major collections, there are 100 pieces of ancient Chinese ceramics found by divers in the waters located on the border between Jambi and Riau. The divers then granting these findings to the manager of the State Museum of Jambi as museum collections.
